The Art of Being Latin

2023 Recap

An unprecedented immersive experience by NTERTAIN. Celebrating the rich contributions of Latin creators in music, art, film, fashion, and design, this groundbreaking event took center stage at Builder’s Collective during the final two days of Miami Art Week.

NTERTAIN, comprising NEON16, NTERTAIN Studios, and AM16, transformed the Wynwood space into a cultural haven, showcasing the diverse and influential work of Latinos. “The Art of Being Latin” emerged after two years of careful conceptualization, aiming to shine a spotlight on the often-overlooked Latino community and highlight its profound impact on global culture.

The opening night drew a capacity crowd, marking a historic moment that celebrated the essence of Latinos in the arts. Esteemed panelists, including GRAMMY-winning Puerto Rican producer Tainy, Mexican singer Sofía Reyes, and Puerto Rican filmmaker Ángel Manuel Soto, graced the stage, sharing their stories and inspiring the next generation of creatives. The second day featured more talent including Manuela Villada, Ahol Sniffs Glue, Danny Hastings and more.

Lex Borrero emphasized the intentional design of “The Art of Being Latin” as more than just a party. “We wanted to create something with value and substance,” he expressed. Attendees left not only with a memorable experience but also with knowledge, a renewed sense of pride in their culture, and inspiration to contribute to the ongoing legacy of Latino influence in the creative realms.
